Girfan
Characters and motion

Girfan is a calm money app. You tell it what you spent in plain words, it keeps your budgets, bills and goals, and an assistant answers questions about your own numbers. It speaks eight languages, four of them written right to left.

Its face is three creatures that follow the money score: Huma when things are going well, Ram when they are steady, and the Simurgh chick when money is at risk. The logo is the creature too, and it changes with the moment, from payday to a missed bill. The faces are a few small marks with sixteen expressions, and the motion follows one rule: the bodies never squash or spin, the face does the acting.

Design, motion and the app: Yashar Mahmoudi.

Thanks for watching.
